Teeth and Sleep

CornersThe Little Miss has been keeping me busy over the last week or so. She has been cranky, clingy and is sleeping slightly less than usual. The sleep alteration has included the addition of through-the-night wakings once again.

All of this to push through three new teeth.
Only one has managed to fully emerge so far, but the second should not be too far behind. The third is there, but not making a dash for the open air yet.

This photograph was taken in one of her new favourite places, between the sofa and the windows. It is now a narrow "hidey-hole" space that only she can really move in. Did I mention that she likes squeezy spots? I feel a spelunker in the making. This is definitely not an inherited trait from me - I'm not so great in very tightly confined spaces, I have far too much imagination.
The Little Miss on the other hand has a wild side that likes squish, speed, falling and general rough-and-tumble.

Ah, the toothless terror from gumsy creek.
;)
What a thought.

Ms OW must be, what, 150cm tall now? It's all those vertical lines you have in the background ;-)

Spelunker? Now that I had to look up... I think one of the few photos I have of you is of your butt disappearing into a muddy crawl space. Remember that one?

Gee, thanks for telling the world about the photo Bruce !
;)

I don't remember the photo, but I remember the trip. And I remember the tight spot - it's a miracle I didn't dissolve into a complete gibbering wreck. Actually, I'm not sure that I didn't.

Great photo. Miss OW is _almost_ as sweet as my Star ;-)

I'm jealous of your baby photos. We specialise in pictures which seem to show more how messy the flat or unkempt the mother is than how cute the baby is.

Thanks Sol,
I can't wait to see the Star. I'm sure he is absolutely adorable.

As for the photos, it is getting harder to take them. I have to do stealth photography now as she is too mobile and knows that the camera is on when she hears its power-up tune. (If only I could figure out how to shut that off !!)
I am picking that she will be a little camera hog since she makes a beeline for it every time I pick it up.

And you will notice that I am the family photographer - so there is little chance of too many unkempt mother photos making it out into the blogosphere. :)
Also as chief house cleaner, I try to keep Madam in the centre of the photos, close-up; and that way the utter mayhem just outside the frame is hidden from an unsuspecting public. ;)

[Miss OWW has managed to take her first photograph. An unflattering close-up of her mother. Considering the elemental tussle for the camera that was going on at the time, it is surprisingly mostly in focus.]
