Still Life Challenge: Update

So following Bruce's comments regarding the definition of still life, I went back to the drawing board for two of my subjects, the Sheep and the Souvenir.

Here's an updated version of each. What do you think? Is this a bit closer to the idea of still life?

Well, I like these much better than the "portrait". Toy sheep on shelf = ordinary; toy sheep in grass = deliberate placement in artificial environment (for a toy) for photographic purposes.

The bottom one says to me "Hunter in need of orthodontics chasing woolly mammoth". Perhaps try this again with the objects further from the wall and then use DOF to blur out that otherwise-distracting brick wall?

P.S. Is your grass really that green? It looks good enough to eat—no wonder you've mammoths on the lawn ;-)
